anybody who does not use a Decent shackle Deserves to be booked .
Old mate asks me why I 'nip' my "D shackles" up a bit .
A "Pussers dirk" - a Navy issued knife , has a blade on it & a small marlin spike .
As you walked around your ship , any shackles or guard rail bottle screws that
were loose , out with your knife , open th marlin spike & nip it up . Have you
noticed th hole in th screw end , that is where you put your spike in . Yes it my be
used to secure it too . I picked up a brand new boat trailer for him from Goldie .
5 ton chain - half ton shackle . Makes one think . NO , I don't have any cheap Chinese
shackles on any of my trailers . Van included . ALL of them . I Have put TWO chains on .
Only one trailer has to have 2 . The van only Requires one . I got the 2nd welded on .
NO , not that it needs th 2nd one & no not that I know I am careful & drive safely .
Sometimes bad things happen to good people . I just give myself Every chance of
Controlling My vehicle if sh*t happens .
