When I was Coaster hunting, got the impression that local Toyota people were not keen on working on the imported models and that there could be issues with parts.
Be cautious about rust - some of the low km ones have been used in snowy areas where they salt the roads.
-- Also as wendy said.. When going for a service or even hunting for part's Most toyota supplier will ask for the vin number of the bus.. If it ends with an "A" I think you will run into issues with getting part's..

I have just bought a 1994 coaster from a Gold Coast Bus Co. for $10000 and am more than happy with it...
It has high Kl's but has been well maintained and is running like a Swiss watch..
