Aqua roll

I am interested in buying an aqua roll. Does anyone know if/where to buy in Australia.

Van water storage is a big additional weight to drag around when free or low cost camping. Many vans can carry up to half a tonne of water which is weight I would prefer not to carry other than need the water. I usually carry around 200 litres when free camping just to keep the weight down! There are many places where only a single share water tap available so carting water from that tap to the van to get a bit of a top up is hard work with jerry can. With the 40 litre aqua roll much easier to collect the water then can either pump the water into the van tanks or make an external connection into pump directly from the aqua roll.  I used the aqua roll when in the UK as most over there do especially when camping away from large CP's.

Cheers

What is it exactly - a drum to roll your collected water in from tap to van?

Oldboar has just purchased a 200 litre water bladder - which is great, if you have room to store it. He has an Isuzu truck, so not a problem for him, but very difficult in a motorhome.

Never seen one before but checked that link, thanks Mike. What a great idea and one of those jiggle syphon hoses should do the trick for transferring to your CV tank. Store it empty then fill when needed. Great idea.

Maybe even one of those garden rollers you fill with water would do the job too, yeh, not the purist water but if you filter or boil before drinking should be OK. Even just for the shower and toilet would be ok though.

They are made by FL Hitchman in the UK and as show by MikeC above.
Very easy to use.

trolley.jpgWell - how interesting is that ?? We have a trolley (on special $25 from Mitre 10) can carry 100kg - folds up flat, great for carrying water containers, secure them with the dreaded - OCCY STRAP!!! or however you like.

Some of the guys at Greens Lake had them, and they are so handy for lots of things!

Reckon you could tie one or two of those excited nomads on to one of these trolleys and wheel them back to their abodes after Happy Hour at Greens

Saw a youtube clip posted on another forum, about caravanning in the 60's where they used those water carriers. See at the 58sec mark on the clip.

Still cant find the Aqua Roll in Aus.
But Jules trolley is also sold at Office Works as well as similar one at Bunnings. So will have to get one of them I think. My back is not up to lugging water about.
Thanks for all you posts.
