Bundaberg Glenlodge Caravan Park.

We are currently staying at Glenlodge Caravan Park in Bundaberg. It is our third stay in 7yrs and each time it gets better.

It's a Top Tourist Park run by 2 brothers.and their families. It is a credit to them what they have done to this park. On Tuesday nights they put on a BBQ and entertainment for the price of a gold coin and Thursday morning it's morning tea. All you take is your plate, mug, chair and donation. ALL proceeds go to Make a Wish foundation and no money is taken out for food etc. that is paid for by the park and entertainment is donated time by a very good group of musicians. They raised a lot of money for this foundation over the years. People donate lovely gifts for the raffle.

The park is in pristine condition and is packed at the moment (word has got out). When you arrive they take you to your site and guide you onto the slab. they offer info on the local attractions and maps without you even asking. Nothing is too hard. We were not sure how to cross over the mountains to Roma and one of the brothers came by our van to sit down and show us on the map and ring a friend to make sure he had it right. You feel like one big family here and the friendliness of the brothers and other workers rubs off onto everyone.

The sites are large and there is a pool and camp kitchen. It's not a park that has all the bells and whistles but enough for grey nomads like us. Price is $33 pn with Top Tourist discount. Amenities are of the older style but very clean. There are drive through sites and ensuite sites as well. It is a park more suited for the grey nomads.

A lovely park park worth mentioning to our fellow travellers

Pam
