I believe the choice of best National Parks is different to everyone, maybe you choose not to go to a particular park because someone states its not worth seeing.
One of these might be Kakadu as many refer to it as Kakadon't, but in our view this was one of the highlights of our trip, this would be one park where you must spend time to really discover what this park has to offer.
Be careful about making up a list of things to see and do on some other persons perception as you may end up bypassing a place that for you could be a personal best of the whole trip.

Oz gypsey, we found Mt Remarkable Nat Park by accident when we were skirting a rainstorm looking for a place to set up the campertrailer on one of our trips. We stayed at the camp site at Baroota ruins, what a fantastic quiet spot too. Got woken by the emus during the night as they checked out out campsite. Loved the place.
we pondered this one , so far in tassie , we reckon , Narrawaptanu nat park , bakers beach , springlawn , if in the hot time of year just keep and eye out for tiger snakes ! litterally 100,s of them ,
An interesting question, Collo. It certainly quickly produced a list of almost all the major National Parks around Straya.
However, I wonder if, in addition to nominating a list of "best" National Parks, the reason the Park is the "best" would be extremely helpful.
Then we could get out our maps and draw a circle around the really "best" ones and that could be how we could spend the next year on the road - visiting them.
Cheers - John
