As strange as it may sound, rather than just pack up and go around Oz, we thought it would be a good idea to see if we actually could live in the van definitely,,

so we are into a sort of 3 month test at my sisters place to see what needs doing before we take off in October.

We have had the van for two years now and been adding gear as required. but just how many batteries and how much solar do we need?

Thats what the test is for,, and to make sure we dont kill each other far away from home ;)

Though twenty years old the Golfs were pretty hot stuff in their day,,

The pic is from Moore Park in QLD.

Don't forget that a big part of the experience is the new places you will visit and the many new friends that you will make..
our last long trip was in a camper trailer for 5 months and we loved it but wouldn't have lasted a week camped in one of the kids back yard :)

Enjoy and welcome to the forum too..

cheers

Mike

We've put the "must keep" items in storage with a friend in Boonah,Qld.
We are staying 2 weeks in the showgrounds there.
Settling into the 'van full-time.
What we thought we needed has been whittled down & gone up the road to our friends shed.
Horizontal surfaces are clear & not kicking things around.
Handy to be so close to our storage.
There are a few things not 'van related that need to be finalised then we be a'trundling.
