I'm hoping that someone maybe able to make comment on camps app on android tablet. If you have it installed does it work ok and is it as good as having the book?
I am looking forward to your response and thank you in advance.
There are any number of Free CP & Camp location Apps for Android - Have used a few and found CAMPIN as one which is not bad....
With android location source turned on - just type in the next town you are intending to visit and it shows you where and details.
I also have the fuel watch which me tells the same way where each station is etc - what they sell and how much - so we can either miss that town and go to the next if needed etc...
But there are many more apps - just read the reviews on each to see if you like it...all Free
Cheers

I have hardcopy Camps 7 and Wikicamps on my ipad....to be honest i use wikicamps and hardly look at Camps 7. Believe you can get wikicamps for android which would be my choice.
I don't know if this applies to the other camping apps, but with Wikicamps you can download all the data before you leave home, so you don't need a connection to the internet, to look for information and the cost is only $5 and you can have a 2 week free trial before you pay and because it is a Wiki it is being updated all the time by users.

Hi , we have Camps 7 on the GPS and Wiki camps on Android , much of a muchness but I think that looking it up from camps 7 book and programing it that way maybe a bit better.
I have WikiCamps on iPad and also, have the Camps app and book. The Camps app is a subscription deal and you have to renew. Never use it now as insufficient info on it and it is not user generated. The Camps book is a pain as it is too cumbersome and and updating process is too time consuming. forget CAW and just get WikiCamps ... They are also now developing a version for Windows 8.1 ... Looking forward to that when it is finally released.
