Yes thanks Redlander. Useful to know, but I'm one of the lucky ones I think, because living in Tassie I'd Know straight away it was a scam. We dont got no tollways here. But I still use them occasionally on the mainland especially to get from Mittagong NSW to Hornsby NSW. Getting past Sydney without them would be a real bugga of a job, and i lved there for 35 years.
One thing I find is using gmail very few scams get through to me as the spam filter catches and diverts them to the appropriate folder. You can setup your own filters if you wish which I have to deal with some stores which bombard you.
I think that the best thing is ignore everything from unknown sources, In the one the OP received common sense would tell you how did they get my email address if I did travel on that road. It's not like you have it on your number plate.
It seems like the scammers are always looking for a new way to part you from your money, And the sad part is a lot of people fall for it.
USE MailWasher Pro the only way to go IMHO been using it for years, it allows you to see what emails are on your server BEFORE you download them to your computer, you just delete the ones you do not want, you can also set it up to do all that before you download, great program.
