I'm regularly leaving a toilet roll behind for the next person when I find none there. The mind boggles why someone would want to steal toilet rolls.

Not only motorhomers, a couple of caravaners traveling together were caught not only rolling those large rolls onto a paint roller but also collecting the soap from the wash basins at a park on the tablelands and tossed out and banned for life there.... cry cry cry

I hate that paper!!!!!!!!!!

Last year here at Bivouac Junction, a couple were caught with an electric drill carefully unrolling from the large dispensers ..

The sound of an electric drill coming from the ablutions after midnight was their undoing ..

I recall reading somewhere about a servo owner seeing a woman on his security cameras leaving the female loos with several rolls of toilet paper and walking towards a caravan.

He intercepted her and told her she had been recorded taking the rolls including her vehicle number and would be reported to the police.

Some of these people are just so brazen and think it is ok to steal from others. furious

Hi all

This raises the question, what do we do as law abiding nomads if we see these scumbags doing wrong?

Now Im not gung-ho shoot the bludgers, but what do we do? If they do this sort of petty theft they may be a little peed if we chalenge them and start to swing their fists. Its especially bad if we are in the middle of nowhere.

I will be taking their vehicle details and raising a complaint with the first police station, if I can get their actions on video then I will. It high time we started to name and shame this petty stupidity, it may even stop it.

report it to the local council with as many details as possible as these people get free camps shut down..

The council are looking at the idea of placing a host in Lake Elphinstone now thats a good idea .

There;s one thing the Shires could do. that is to place a sign outside every toilet reading '' PAPER STOLEN BRING YA OWN'' people would know to carry their own.

then the "A holes'' who steal the paper might get caught short them selves.

I can't remember the last time I would have used a public toilet, either at a caravan park or at a free camp site, without arming myself first with my own toilet paper and some bacterial wipes, just in case. Too often I have come across unhygienic toilets where a previous user missed the target and left the mess for the next person. Now I'm not a hygiene freak, but a quick clean up of the seat prior to using it, isn't too big a deal.

Why anyone would steal the provided paper is hard to fathom. Anyone who does knock it off is a bit sad and pathetic really and is behaving in a totally un-Australian way and deserves to be banned from the playground. After all, lets face it, the good stuff is only worth about 50c a roll. I don't care where my financial circumstances end up, I'll never scrimp on items like toilet paper!!

Did you send their rego to the CMCA? CMCA take a dim view of misdeeds committed by their members. If a couple of you separately report him they will be booted out of the club. If their insurance is through Ken Tame they will loose the rights to insure through him as well.

If someone steals loo paper which is not expensive, they're likely to rip off other more expensive items as well. I'd hate to be parked anywhere near one of them.

We always take paper to the loo just in case anywhere we go.
We have been there before after other scumbags have done this....
But I wonder - "When friends come over to their place - Do their friends pinch their loo paper at home"

In this day and age of smart phones etc - its just so easy - click a button & film them and let them know it -
including their van and vehicle and regos.... They will see you filming and if not - just make it ssoooooo obvious.
"Then proudly give them a bust - you scumbags - lets see how many people hit this on YouTube.."
So easy to punch up to youtube... Its there FOREVER........and they cant take it down....

Email the YouTube link - to every council / Caravan park / camp within a days drive -
Now lets see how many are allowed to be booked in. I have come very close before on another issue.

Show these theives for whom they really are... Low life scumbags
