Yep it doesn't matter how much reserch or homework you do something pops up you didn't know.
I mentioned in my recent update here in generel (reason I am putting this post in general as well) that if you are looking at buying a Colorado not to get a genuine Holden Bull Bar. Well I have just had my 7" LED spot light's turn up and guess what? Holden don't allow enough room where the spot light holes are. I bet the Holden spot lights fit though and $300 dearer too.
I had a look at the antenna/spot light bull bar brackets you can get but they are chrome and BB and SL are black, me being me want black fittings but not sure if I can paint chrome?
I was also thinking of getting the back flat section (technical talk) of a 3" U bolt and bolt that to the existing spot light holes to bring them out enough to clear the the problem area then bolt the SL to that. They are gal steel and could paint those black.
The lights are great by the way and will shine the way at night for sure. Don't get me wrong, I love the Collie, just the BB is a bit iffy. Never mind, them's the break. Life wasn't meant to be easy I spose. Maybe some good ideas out there in GN land will help solve the small problem.
Just another reason why NOT to by a Holden bull bar.

Bugger ?? Mate,, I think you DID do your reseach pretty well. and lets face it ? You did Cross ALL the ''T''s and MOST of the ''I'' s so that only a ''Hicc-up'' ? really. I reckon you should speak to Jim ?? as he has ALL the Answers,
Rumour has it ?? That really Leonie has ALL the answers, -- and then she tells Jim, to make him look good and clever
I just found some good BLACK brackets on fleabay but will check TJM and ARB first as they might just have something similar or that will do the small job at hand. Yes I did cross all the t's but must have left the . off one i. No biggy.

All sorted, I tried a backing plate of the U bolt that holds the jockey wheel on A frame of Avan and brings it out just to the right spot needed so will go with that. As it is Gal steel I can paint it black but it is covered by the light so should be fine as is.
Not a problem anymore.
