Waiting to see what anyone has to say as well as thinking of putting one on our van as it is built. Heard they will eventually be compulsory but when and is it just going to be in national parks.

If you are building a Van from the Ground Up I would Say yes Install Grey water tank's..
- Make sure the Van can Qualify for "Leave No Trace"..

I know it might sound like a load of Feces, but to get access to some very beautiful Spots it does help that you can be self contained...

I'm not sure on what happens in Tasmania, but if your going to the trouble of building it's better to build in now than to try to do something later on..

-- Pete one thing.. Try to make sure that the Water tank's[clean] for the van are not in a position that will cause towing issues..

If that is the case what will happen with all the Semi to Permanent camp sites around Tassie ie At Arthurs Lake, Pumphouse Bay and Jonah Bay

where well over 50 camps are set up for close to 9 months of the year and then all asked to remove while the area is cleaned, mowed etc.

People (Most Tassie Residents) can then reapply for the next season for what I thought was a fairly cheap price of about $300- $400 for the period.

As I was told at the time, I am not sure how correct that was.

These sites include from tents to camper trailers to large caravans with awnings fitted with Wood combustion heaters and small garage

sheds used for storage and extra accommodation, I was amazed how many camps where there unattended for most of the time during

Winter 2012.
