Does anyone know where this is? I took it one day when stopping for a break somewhere between Sydney and Brisbane. I remember clearly the stop and the view when climbing to the top but for the life of me I can't recall the exact location. It has just been annoying me for ages, where is this place?
Aw I was getting excited that some one responded. I have been searching google trying to locate it.
It is so distinctive, someone else may have stopped here.
I remember it was on a dual carriageway coming down from Brisbane.
You come down a big hill and have to turn right and drive up a little road.
The view is of the country side.( green flat pasture land and mountains in the background) It is not a town lookout but rather a roadside stop.
Problem is it could be the coast road or the inland road via Armidale.
I have travelled both routes numerous times but only found this stop once.
I have tried RTA rest stops site but can't find it.
One of the mysteries of my travels, I should keep better records.
There will be date/time info in the file somewhere. If you are a creature of habit when travelling those routes you may be able to approximate how far you had travelled when you took the photo.

Well thank you very much Woolly, I can sleep easy now, it had me buggered where this place was.
Interesting and true comment on that site link."Moonbi Lookout is a hidden gem that many people might pass by."
Now I know where it is I can visit again, nice little spot for a break on my way to Brisbane.
