Thinking of you Billeeeeeee and Jules running around in your shorts and Ts while I sit here wrapped in a woolly rug sniffling with a winter cold. See you on the road next year!

enjoy you two. Here in Berry it is the wind, driving me crazier than i already am. This morning was the first time, i felt like i could not do it anymore. just wanted to run away and hide. once showered and dressed i was right again. i cannot deal with the constant wind blowing. very little sleep last night because of the wind did not help. sitting here in the sun out of the wind enjoying a beautiful meal, and all is right with the world again. yipppeee....

Loving it up here - though we have a bit of wind as well - we went to one stop - on a cliff - but left fairly quickly because of the wind, it was a very exposed spot - the scenery was beautiful, but the wind was horrific.

Keep on enjoying shekon -

IMG_2200.jpgI've tried to meet "Billeeee" 3 times - once in Woomera, next time in Darwin but they weren't Billeeee but impersonators and then finally at Fitzroy Crossing I positively idenentified the bug*er with Jules and crew....and very nice people they are.
We are in Derby tonight....head for Broome tomorrow to sus it out....don't like the idea of a Gold Coast on the west coast but we'll see.

B&J stay up there for a while, see you down south later this year or whenever

Broome caravan parks are not taking booking now, you need to front up and wait, although the wait is not long according to my mates who are already there.

We drove straight in this morning to the park at Tarangau for 2 nights but have to move sites tomorrow as only single nights available - take it or leave it and $46 per night thank you very much.  Went into the town and saw lots of stuff of no interest to us...dunno how they make any money as they were mostly empty of customers. Museum was good. Will check this much promoted Cable beach tomorrow.

EDIT...forgot to mention we met Rosie/Gerty dancer and her man this morning for an enjoyable hour.

Broome is an expensive place to stay, especially if you want to be right in town - we are in Derby - Gerty Dancer and Derek came to visit this afternoon - lovely to see her again - lovely lady.

We are in Derby for two nights, then - well who knows, Broome eventually, then again - Who knows!!!!

Enjoy your travels Dennis - might catch up somewhere along the road.

Like Wombat has already mentioned don't come south too quickly, crappy winter weather here.

Try to stay no further south than Carnarvon until at least the beginning of September if possible.

Glad you all had some meet ups, good way to swap tips etc.  smile

PS:  I believe Wombat has been excavating some new wombat holes for your arrival down south later.....biggrin

Have had such a lovely time in Derby, met up with other Nomads over and over!

Safe travels to you all, we enjoyed all our meetings.

We are off to Windjana tomorrow, and when we have a signal again I will report on the condition of the Windjana/Tunnel creek road.
