Yes there is camping at the showgrounds. About $16 a night.
To use just the dump point is now $3.
I drove in there this morning to use dump point and get water. Couldn't rouse the caretakers even though the other campers called out They must be home their cars are there.
I left without and got same done in Fernvale.
Had stayed the night in a new camp behind the historical railway station. The entrance is Opposite the police station . Large area no facilities but free with walking distance to town.
