It looks like a good way to do damage to your 10amp system considering they are offering a 15 fuse with it...
Could be ok on newer vehicles but I would be reluctant to run it from the dash/console mounted ciggy lighter outlet on older vehicles as some of the connections there can be a bit suss and get hot..
I personally think there will be better options out there..
Have had one of these for 3 yrs.It is great for reheating frozen meals which I pack in those tinfoil take away containers.Always take a stir fry or 2,left over casserole,Roasts.corned beef and veg etc.Just great for those times when the travelling group for a myriad of reasons can be late to get to camp spot.Pop in my chosen feed about 1/2 hr before reqd while travelling and arrive at camp with a nice warm ready to eat meal.No probs with excess power drainage whilst engine is running.LR ciggy connect is 15 amp.Another use is keeping the take away fish and chips nice and hot between the shop and camp.Lots of truck drivers heat their pre prepared meals with these.
I feel they work well and are not expensive
Cheers
Mary
From what I have read re comments on other sites is good to heat up a pie, sausage roll or the frozen meals. As above has said the truckers seem to like it.
