Hi Follks i have a 80 series ihz looking at buying a caravan and i think i mite need to put new suspension on now i have old emus on they been on since 08 now wit hthe van its going to be 21ft some where near whats good old emu or dobersons or is there other recommendations.
Hi Chris, airbags may be an option. Suggest you also have a look at the LCOOL.ORG forum. There is a lot of information on all models of Landcruisers. Someone may already have made the upgrade you are looking at.

I have a 95 4.5 petrol 80 series and still use original suspension.
I use a Hayman Reese tow ball / anti sway bars and they are absolute gold in towing our 21 ft Jayco (2+ tonne) and all have I done is adjust the tow ball configuration to ensure that the tug and van are level for towing. I do get some sag in the rear when we have too much junk in the boot but it still tows like a dream.
I would suggest you invest in an anti sway kit like mine 1st, then you can consider the need to modify the suspension later. I have considered airbags for the rear but they are expensive and not a necessity at the moment.
Let me know if / what you do if you modify the suspension, I'm keen to look at same when the time comes.
Hi Folks thanks Deverall11 and DebnWeg i think my shocks are shot so i will put new ones in and i was going to get ani sway bars when i get a van just need to work out what van i wont lol i think im down to 3 sorts of vans .
