Far be it from me to foster, or perpetuate, colonial rivalry, but I think Taswegians may gain some warmth from this anthem.
Just as Kiwis receive a varying "cultural welcome" from we Strayians, Taswegians often feel the 'poor cousins' of this wondrous country.
Let's all sing along together and make our southern cousins feel included.
Tasmanians all let us rejoice
For we are proud and free ,
We're not joined to the mainland
We're surrounded by sea;
Our isle abounds in nature's gifts,
