Im at a loss to discover the better canopy for my XL ranger. I have 2 grand to spend so budget is important. If anyone can suggest a provider or recommend a canopy for around that price, I would be most grateful. Thanks and happy travels.

I bought a top of the line "Flexiglass Sports" canopy, and a bit more that your budget. BUT I wouldn't recommend one.
An odd way to start perhaps. I would recommend a Flexiglass canopy but just not this one.
It is wired into the central locking "Tick*
It has LED interior light that comes on when you open it *Tick*
It has a brake light fitted up high *Tick*
It has lockable side windows that flip up to open so you can access stuff from the sides *Tick*
It has an opening front window so you can clean the rear window of the cab *Tick*
Fit & Finish is very good *Tick*
The rear wind deflector keeps coming loose (and I rarely drive off the hardtop at the moment) Big *CROSS*
It has a rear window demister (as useful as an ashtrash on a motorbike . A window wiper would have been sooo much more practical) Bigger *CROSS*
It has small luggage rails on top (in hindsight I would probably look to have some sort of setup to put one of those awnings down the side of the vehicle) so I'll call that a *Cross* too.
There are some good ones out there and I'm pretty sure they will fit your budget. I hope this post will give you some ideas on what sort of features they can have and some of the negatives that can appear from some of the stuff that may look good up front.
Happy shopping mate

I've got the same Canopy n the Colorado and it's been brilliant. Has needed the catches adjusted on the side windows but other than that it's great. NOT cheap, but none of the top of the line ones are.
hi Phil,
I have an ARB canopy on my PX, I had a flexiglass first, both leak water around the join to the tub a bit of extra silastic needed.
dont get the sliding windows in the side, you cannot reach anything at the back.
both are around the $2.000 mark if you haggle.
Pomme.
Hi Phil
I have a PK XLT Ranger and fitted a High profile canopy on it, the textured one cost $2216 3 years ago, it is a flexiglass one and I have had no problems with it. I also have a security sliding window $175 on drivers side (can be left open, has a grill on it), a side access window $129 on passenger side (very handy) and a vent $60. there is also a sliding window at the front so you can clean your back window. brake light and interior light standard I believe, interior light works with vehicle lights. I know your budget is $2000 but this will give you an idea that there is more to getting a canopy than meets the eye
Good Luck on your choice
