Shxtbox Rally is what was happening in Marble Bar They are on their way to Darwin from Perth. Cars valued $1000 or under, driving to Darwin by whatever rough roads the organisers can find. It is a Cancer fundraiser I think. When they reach Darwin later in the week the cars will all be auctioned off and most will be bought by their owners to play again next year. They have a face book page and a website (sorry not clever enough to put up links!!)

bet you enjoy that trip, I see you found my wombat cache, thanks for the feedback, were there any other cache's on the Gibb? when I put wombat 6 up there it was the first one along the Gibb.

Glad you managed to get to Marble Bar Gerty, those "Choc Top" hills are magnificent. Did you check out any of the free camps shown in the Camps book between the highway and Marble Bar on the way in or after you left? I'd be interested in knowing what they are like if anyone has stayed at them. I have been to MB but like you only stayed at the CP in town.

Lets know how you found the cp at 80 mile beach was too in general please.

Good to know the Dunmowins had a good trip on the GRR as well.
