Diesel shortage WA?

Hi all, anyone hear of diesel shortages in WA? Understand it is due to two ships arriving with contaminated diesel and another batch causing vehicle problems.

Hi Jeff,
Fuel shortage is over. Yes they thought it was contaminated and have now cleared shipment for distribution. Petrol stations are being serviced as we speak and all should be back to normal late Monday early Tuesday. Hope that helps you.
Cheers Liz

Cheapest Diesel for people on the South-side is almost in the City,

It's at the GULL FUEL at the Causeway in Vic Park, 170 Albany Hwy..... $ 154.9 cpl.

Came down from Geraldton yesterday using the Brand Hwy, all fuel stations had diesel as far as I could tell. prices were displayed so I would think it would indicate it was still available.

Thanks Goannaway, sounds promising, if that is the same at other country towns then diesel users are not going to get stuck somewhere waiting. smile

I've been keeping a close watch on Fuel Watch, just to see if they use this "Outage " as an excuse to jump up the price.

"Surprise Surprise " the cost has come down again.  biggrin biggrin biggrin

Always the way isn't it Jim, but of course it was due to the usual "price" cycle, yeah sure. )

That's what it was last week, fuel prices up there are high, it doesn't change much as you travel up until you get to Carnarvon

That's what is was about two weeks ago too when I was there.  The servo at the northern end of the foreshore is usually the cheapest (outside the fishing store and PO).

Surprisingly, the servo at Murchison Settlement Roadhouse (between Mullewa and Gascoyne Junction on dirt roads) was only $1.69 for diesel and petrol, Mullewa BP was also $1.69 but Mullewa Ampol was $1.79.   Gascoyne Junction was $1.82 for diesel, $1.80 for petrol.
