Moving on;

Tomorrow we move on from Townsville, hope to utilize a few of the free camps to the north of town as we slowly head to Cairns, over the hill & across to the NT over the next few weeks.

Will be on the lookout for any more GN's along this way. Our rig is now a Iveco dual cab with a large alloy canopy & a van in tow.

 Patto, this is the truck but we do not have the boat on for this trip. A little of the van in background which is all I have on the PC at the moment. The van is a Regent Parklane poptop.

Have a good run, Jim. I was wrong on the horsepower thingy, should have divided instead of multiplying. No matter, difference is amazing since putting the chip in, truck pulls like a 14 year old. Only had to change down to 5th on two hills between Townsville & Hughenden. Would have had RSI previously. Not a bad effort considering our outfit weighs in at almost 7 Tonne. Presently at Fountain Springs, heading for Camooweal tomorrow, probably camp at the billabongs.

Patto, may run across across each other, should be around the Three Ways, Tennant Creek area in about three days ( probably for a couple of days at least), then a couple of days to Daly Waters pub, then Katherine before turning west. Our rig is on our avatar.

Thats good that its working for you Darrell, can never have too much power. Then again we may have to remove it just to slow you down a bit. LOL

Take care mate.

 I think the idear is starting to catch on.

I just saw another one with a white canopy go passed where we are camped. Another vanner who camped beside us for a night thought he had seen us earlier that day;again not guilty so there are a couple getting around.

As they increase the the weight checks I think we will see more changes.
