Sale Motor Village - a nice place to stop.

Stopped off at Sale for a couple of days on our way through.  Lovely place, nice and quiet, even though right on the Princes Hwy, traffic noise was minimal, and we were right next to the road, so can vouch for that.  Lots of birdlife, good camp kitchen, clean amenities with reliable shower temperature/pressure.

Manager is a lovely woman, very helpful.  Many of the people we met in the park had called in for a day or 3, and were still there.  One couple had been in residence since Good Friday, and were in no hurry to leave.

Price is good, $17 a night plus metered power, over 2 days we used $1.10 running 2 laptops our kettle and a space heater for 20 minutes or so each day.  If you don't want to meter your power, a powered site is $25 a night.

The park is on the westbound side of the highway, we were running east, but had no trouble as there is a good turn-off for the park. When we left, we ran west about a kilometre to the roundabout, and turned east there, although there is a u-turn lane near the park.

Stayed there a few times Rosie and agree it's a nice place for sure and yes the management are very friendly and helpful.

Check out the swing bridge while in the area.
