I have an Aircommand Heron 2.2 air con in my Matilda motor home. Can anyone tell me what size portable generator I would require to allow me to operate this unit. Getting a lot of conflicting information from the generator market.

A Honda 20i (2KVA) would do the job with ease..

Our Honda Eu20i runs the Aircommand Ibis R/C aircon on the roof of our van ok as long as nothing else is turned on when it is first getting going and we need to have ECO throttle off as well for about an hour.
