Lake Ballard

Does anyone know where we can fill our drinking water supply, anywhere between Kalgoorlie and Menzies, or is fresh water (drinkable) available in Menzies, heading up there on Friday and don't want to lug any extra weight up through the hills if I don't have to. May not make Lake Ballard on Friday, will stop over somewhere for the night, any suggestions for a good free camp area?. If anyone has been there in the last few days can you tell me if it is still dry up through there. Cheers, John.

think from memory we got water from the rec reserve at  Menzies  which had a few caravans there. Left the van there when we went to Lake Ballard

Checking on "Badgers" Caravan park Reports, there's a new C.P. in Menzies should be plenty of drinking water there.............

An excellent Info centre at Menzies & cafe over the road. Good new amenities at Lake Ballard - toilets, dump point. If you are only going for a few days why not use bottled water. The 50 km road in there was very good mostly flat dirt road (Aug 13) - a small hill at the end.
