LONGREACH

Stayed at Longreach Tourist Park well if you stay in Longreach it is that were you would stay unless you free camp on the river. This park has 250 sites very close to each other , Park was half full when we were there and signs of hot water problems allready only 1 dump point at one end of the park and long walk to rubbish bins $32 a night powered site

We stayed at Barcaldine last week, left the trailer there, drove out Longreach, did the Qantas museum then drove back to Barcaldine. We saw the Longreach park and thought Barcaldine certainly looked better. We stayed at the Homestead caravan park: $18 for unpowered or $27 powered, they put on free billy tea & damper most evenings, and a bloke telling folk-lore tales for an hour or more, free wifi, great camp kitchen; bbq, toaster, kettle, fridge/freezer, hotplates and TV. On Friday's & Saturday's you can buy take-away chinese meals, that even the locals turn up for. The portions were large, we couldn't eat it all. Very pleased with the park.
