The road into Ellendale Pool is under water, if you are so inclined you can by pass the road closed signs and enter but looking at the causeway into the pool I would not cross until deemed safe.
The road into Gladstone beach bit further up towards Carnavon is very slippery after rain. The caretaker places road closed signs should you by pass them he doesn,t confront you then and there but marks his receipt book and you have a nice present waiting in the mail from the shire a $200 fine.Geraldton is like most shires is short of money could be a nice revenue raiser.
Suggest that ignoring Road Closed signs is not a good idea. They are there for good reason. Any travellers who have had to drive on unsealed roads that have been driven on when wet and closed, will know how they dry out rutted, rough and sometimes just about impossible to drive on. Apart from the issue of consideration for subsequent road users, I seem to recollect that WA is one of the states that can fine you a hefty amount - per wheel - for this infringement.
