Just an update for those that helped and offered assistance and advice with our recent computer issue. 

Hubby was able to take the hard drive to  work where the IT people were able to retrieve our photos and some files. 

Stuart ended up purchasing a new Apple MacBook Pro. Big learning curve for us. Apple provide a 'school' which  we've taken advantage of and are learning more each day,  with use. 

 

Thanks again for all the offers of help we had. Really appreciated.

Thats great to hear that you are back in business with a new puter and still have your data..

I am a MS fan but I believe that Mac are just as good just not for me as I would have to learn all over again..

Hi all. This is my first post to the forum and already asking your advice. I do hope that I am somewhere near the right toplc ... We are looking for a mobile, wireless, scanner/printer for our HP laptop to take with us in the van... would appreciate anybody's recommendations or experience Thanks so much robmac

Welcome. You'd be better off starting your own post as people probably won't look at my old post. Just repeat what you need, in this Techie spot but under your own heading. I'm no help to you with your query sadly .
