On my way from Qld last july to south Aussie, I parked the van opp the Nevertire Hotel south of Warren.
It was a Wednesday night so I strolled over to the ruddy tub for a ale or 2.
At app 6 pm I seen the menue for meals that night, I had another scooner to choose my meal, 1/2 a berp
I ordered the Aussie schnitzel from the menue, after finising my scooner it was served to me at the bar, wow I never had a schnitzel like this before, was cooked then I say they put sm bits of ham on top and grilled it with cheese on top golden brown also lots of vegies that filled the oval plate, cost was $15.00. (Great value I thought)
I took the meal outside to a open fire place where I enjoyed it so much, and the locals in the bar were great as well, no one quizzed me to where I was from or where I was going, was a good ay mate, but true bushies with there broad rim hats on.
The meal I give 9.5 out of 10.
Alsoi think there motel rooms are app $50.00 a nightbut haven't seen any reports as yet.
Only 1 small complaint, the fire place was in a type of a beer garden, no fire place in the bar. (but a good true blew fairdimkin outback pub)
Also can be a bit noisy from trucks coming in to load or drop off wheat where I was parked, but in all I had a good sleep that night BERP
Frank, be a great place for a nomad passing through to take the cook on mothers day, as I know they be looked after.
Also Dubbo, that butcher at the entrance to coles in Dubbo had his certificates hanging on the wall as the best 2 nd sausages in Aussie for several years, there to die for.
