onboard sound system for caravan.

I want to have some music and local radio in our van and wonder what you folk out there did to solve this situation. I guess the simplest solution would be to get a car radio/cd unit fitted as this would be 12 volt. The other option is a small portable bedroom type stereo which would not take up much room, can be moved around, but would be mains powered so limits the usage to only whilst at powered sites. The same applies to the I pod system. I do not want a high power system, just something to give the odd cd music and local radio now and then. I have read that a car system is pretty simple to fit but wondered if somebody might have found a better solution.

Thanks in anticipation, Davo

I use a small MP3 player the size of a phoneplug it into a set of computor speakers with a powered sub unit .

All runs from a 100 watt inverta.

Cheap with excellent quality a more power than you will ever need.
