has any body had problem with dometic 3 way fridge when on DC it is freezing contents when on settings around 3 -4 and sometimes goes the opposite way where the temp goes up to 10+ degrees. We have had 4 thermostats replaced since September but with the same result
dometic 3 way fridges don't work on 12 volt . the 12 volt should only be used to maintain fridge till you can put it on gas or 240 and then only with car running as they chew up the amps

Best you read the OP's statement before commenting..
You will notice the problem is that it is working TOO good and as far as we know they could have an abundant supply of 12v (solar panels) in which case using 12v would be best for them..

can you tell us more about the fridge and the conditions under which it freezes and also what are the conditions when it doesn't do a good job :- is it when you are traveling it gets cold and when you are parked it doesn't get cold ? what is the battery voltage when it doesn't get very cold ?
