there is one in Eltham Road at Teven, opposite the Tevan golf course in a small park adjacent to a creek.  i have often seen campers there ... I am local and it would be a quiet safe place to stop for a night or two ... About 10 minutes south west of Ballina ... Dont go on the Pacific Highway, Take the Tevan turnoff just after you drive under the highway as if heading for Alstonville Or Lismore. It is listed in Wiki Camps, free but no facilities.  the one at the Bicentennial Gardens  on the road out of Ballina heading north past the airport is 12 hour rest only and no camping .... Campers are being fined.
