We are here at Bedford Weir, and thought it would be packed out over Easter, but so far, there have been a few biggish groups turn up, but nowhere packed out as yet - we have quite a large area where we are, most seem to want to park over under trees on grass.
A lovely spot - with toilets and hot showers, dump point, rubbish bins - a lovely young bloke is the caretaker, and he is very friendly

Hey Jules47, there was a lovely couple they as caretakers when we were there a couple of years ago. Have they moved on ? It's a great place, I think we stayed there for about 4 weeks.

Yes they moved on a while ago Brian - but this young guy is ok - works at the mines, then home here to do the loos etc. We have been about a week - probably leave on Tuesday to go to Emerald (repairs for us, check on a noise for Solo Steve, and new solar panel for Happy Wanderer), and this is indeed a great spot.

Hello Jules
Did you get the solar panel for Marj on ebay ?/
We bought our last year in emerald and cost $400 for 80 watt, got another one on ebay for $140 delivered to Theresa dam and going well
Ken
Will get some photos up now there are a few more of us here - and of the rest of the campsite John - you and Marjoleine would like it here - erratic phone and internet - but better than Wuruma Dam.
Ken - Marj bout the solar panel - think it is 150 or 140 - about $200 I think, delivered to the guy who is going to fit it in Emerald next week.

Would not have to be much to be better than Wuruma Dam.
Bedford is on our list when we head north next time. Also have Fairburn Dam on our radar.

Talking about dams/weirs. We did a dam crawl last November starting at Bjelke-Petersen, Boondooma, Wuruma then Awonga & were catching Redclaw at all of them. They are all on my blog.
The couple who were at Bedford were great. For a few $ wed evenings Lyn would provide hot/cold nibblies then Sunday for morning tea more than anyone could eat. Always put the donation which was asked for to stay there as well as such a great spot.
