Caravan Park Industry & Tourism 2007 Report on WA CP's

Are you a "Winter Drifter" or "Freedom Seeker" or something else???

Although this is a 2007 report (so bear that in mind, especially for prices etc) it is a very interesting read, see;

Thank you  vic41, makes for very interesting reading and while it pertains to WA I would guess it would be similar for other states with of course the local influences, state or town.

It was good to look at the role that things like power, water, gas and rates play in the overall cost per site.

As I see it I feel the main player here has to be the low cost overseas holidays now have an important impact on the viability of CP. It was interesting to see how many CP's had closed up to 2007 compared to many new one were planned.

all in all a good look at the industry and it was good that they included the Grey Nomad element as well

thanks again for putting up the post

Yes it was a good read Briche, I've never heard of the terms "Winter Drifter" or "Freedom Seeker" used in RV terms before.

I suppose "Winter Drifter" is the Oz equivalent of "Snow Birds" in the US.
