Right click the link Arthur,,, left click copy,  left click cursor in text box and right click paste, hit enter.

To make a link clickable, just put url enclosed by square brackets immediately in front of the link, and /url within square brackets immediately after the link; e.g. (url)www.google.com(/url) ... replace the regular brackets ( ) with the square ones [ and ].

There maybe quicker/easier ways to do it, but this way works for me.

If you use the Quick Reply box, then the URL will be automatically "linkified" unless it includes some special characters. I asked the software developers to add this feature, but they didn't test it properly, so it doesn't always work correctly.

Test: thegreynomads.activeboard.com

 Gday...

From observation and questions posted on the forum, it would appear there a number of ways to insert a clickable URL into a thread.

I have tried all suggestions but this is the way that works for me -

1) obviously, I copy the URL from the site I want to include;

2) the I either Start a New Topic box ... or click Reply on an existing thread;

3) I type the 'message' I want and then I CTRL V the URL I copied earlier into the body of the thread/reply;

4) I then use the mouse to highlight the URL, this the causes the icon (I have circled in red) on the menu bar to become 'active' -

      URL 01.JPG

 5) Click on that icon and the following box opens -

      URL 02.JPG Left click in the "Link URL" box and CTRL V the URL into here;

Then left click on the small down arrow in the "Target" box - this will provide the following options -

      URL 02 A.jpg I select the "Open Link in a New Window" option, then left click on "Insert"

6) This then makes the URL look like this - http://www.australiasomuchtosee.com/lists26.htm

The link is now clickable, and when clicked will open in a new window.

Hope this helps you ... it works for me and I have yet to have any trouble in the link not working when I post.

Cheers - John

Thanks Rockylizard for pointing out "Open Link in a New Window". Makes it much easier. Although I always tend to hit shift when I click on the links anyway, just in case.
