I,m probably going to pull my charter boat out of the water tomorrow as its very hard to do if the weather gets worse. I think that, here in Townsville , we should get a lot of rain, and perhaps some wind. Time will tell. Some maps have it crossing the coast again, here, and reforming.Just the thing we need at Easter. Bill
This is the front page of the Townsville Bulliten today. It will be interesting to see where it goes after crossing the coast, somewhere nth of Cairns, tmrow. Bill
From what I am reading it will weaken by the time it gets here but yes, wind and rain is definitely on the cards. Typical, just my luck, tug in dry doc and never been in a cyclone so keeping an eye on this and polished the yellow stripe down my back in readiness. Maybe should find a wombat hole to hide in but then it will fill with water so maybe not a good idea either.
The experts say you just can't really predict a cyclones path so we will prepare as required. I am keeping an eye on what the neighbours do and what my daughter hears at work, they follow Army advice as her work is at the base.
I get some very strong gale force winds and heavy rain back home so not looking forward to the next week and I tell you that for free.

Hi all and Dougwe. Just checked the rainfall for Townsville Dougwe and currently about the same as a heavy dew in these parts. Anything under about 200mm doesn't rate up here. I can understand your concerns though and when it's all over we will organize a Queenslander T shirt for you. You will be OK I promise you. Hope you are enjoying the Townsville hospitality as IMO it is the friendliest city in Oz. Cheers.
