 Last time I used it, as I wound it up to the top it did not lock into the cover. Was pretty close, so I wound it down a bit and it just completely unwound and I thought S*** and hoped it would wind up which it did thank goodness. Now I am a bit unsure wether it should be used without someone having a look at it. I did unwind a metre or aso at home and seemed fine locked back in at the top ok.

sounds like the winding mechanism has tossed in the towel..cry

I have had that happen twice (on different awnings) and it isn't a cheap part to replace, the only good thing is that it is an easy job to do..

If you can give me the model of your awning  (the numbers on theoutside of it including the small digits) like F45is. I will get you a price of a replacement winder mechanism..
