We have only used our a few times, mainly for warming things up when free camping. We use our BBQ more than anything else and the cooktop for doing veges and pasta. It's there in case but it's a great storage cupboard. I have a Turbo oven and use it a lot when in the CP and power is on. I only use my oven at home occassionaly. Turbo does it all.

It would depend on how you use your rig really, in our last caravan we didn't have a full oven, didn't live full time on the road and used the baby Q for most oven things when we were travelling.

Now we have a 5th wheeler with far more room, a full fan forced oven, and live full time on the road. We use the weber in warm conditions as before but in inclement or cooler weather my wife uses the oven and loves it !
It is a Swift 500 and is very economical on gas and cooks a great roast !

Would we buy another rig without an oven ? No.

As said we are all different.

Did this exercise too! We went with the full oven as I love to bake. When we are camped in caravan park we use the portable convection oven we bought from Kmart. Or we cook outside on the BBQ. But on those cold wet days we always cook inside! Don't regret buying a van with full oven as this is our home and I used an oven a lot at home!

we live in our van full time and while weeks may go by without using the oven, especially in warmer weather, I would not be without it. It is a 'swift' brand and very good. Last oven in the Jayco Heritage (can't remember the brand) was hopeless.

Yes go for an oven , We bought a second hand van which had an oven in and find it great especially when free camping and in winter warms up the van. I would never have put in an oven but now wouldn't be without one.

I have a collapsible oven that sits on top of the gas stove. Haven't used it yet but I figured it would be handy for bread, scones, roasts, etc.

OMD....I personally think its a little bit like the old argument, do we have a shower/toilet or not......All these features help keep the value of your van up and easier to sell when the time comes...

As a rule we enjoy cooking in our baby Q  outside but....Would still not be without the inside oven (make a good storage are as well when not being used)

We have had a van with a full oven..... never used except as storage. Current van has no oven, but a microwave.....only use it inCPs which is less and less.

Next van might have a microwave, definately will not have the full oven as I can think of better things to do with the space.

We live in our converted bus/motorhome on a permanent basis, and have full sized stove and wouldnt be without it. We also have outside bbq built in for those lazy days.

I guess it comes down to the fact, do you use it at home often, things don't change all that much when you're on the road permanently.

I've lived in 2 caravans since 1997 with full stove and oven and never used the stove for anything but to boil the billy a couple of times. I don't like the idea of food smells, steam and grease through the van's upholstery. Curtains get dirty enough without it.
I use a gas camp cooker and an electric oven with solid plates on top, because park power is included in the rent.
The Sprinter work vehicle is all electric with a 2.3KVA diesel gennie which isn't up to working the stove top. No oven in the bus except microwave.
I do most of the cooking on a butane cooker. I also have a 12 volt oven for roasting and reheating frozen pre-cooked meals.
It's always about personal choice. If you're only going away with the van from time to time a bbq or weber will do it. If you have a fire the camp oven is handy.
Living full time in the van an oven is useful if you want to bake.
My oven is a cupboard for cooking pots.
