O- ring split on flexi hose for weber baby Q

Hit the road today for a trip, everything is wearing away!!

went to cook tea, hooked up to gas bottle, smelt gas, did the detergent test etc, def leak. Eventually a small, maybe 10mm o-ring fell out.

so my question is, can I replace o-ring, or should I buy a whole new hose and regulator? My nearest supply place is Shepparton.

Thanks,

MJ

You can replace the O ring with an identical one for the connection. Try Bunnings or BBQ galore or similar for replacement.

Hi MaryJane:-
I had a similar problem and replaced it with O-ring kit purchased at Bunnings Shepp.
They have a good range of gas fittings and parts so it may be a idea to take the O-ring with you to match it up.

A hose/tap adapter is the same size and will do the job for you ..
Ya know the one that you clip the end of the hose onto.. the little "O" ring on the end of it is the same as the one on your gas regulator that goes into your cylinder..
unless you have one of the full nose tip rubbers and you can buy a small pac of them from Bunnings as HC said..

O rings are cheap, most are made of neoprene but Viton are more durable and less likely to be damaged when the hose end hits the ground. Carry some spares of all o rings and carry sealed in talcum powder, especially the neoprene ones. Any hydraulic shop or Ludowichi know and will carry imperial and metric. Being American, the Weber it could be imperial sizing.
