We're now at Bundoora Dam, another gem in the middle of Queensland. Located 26km southwest of Middlemount it has flushing toilets (septic), numerous sheltered tables, wood barbecues, excellent mobile & internet (Telstra, not sure about others) service. In Camps 7 it states rough track for 400 metres but if the closest rail crossing to German Creek open cut is taken access is via a good formed gravel road. A note for any heading here from Baralaba, two road to Duaringa exit the town. The road via Woolbinda is better than the road signposted Duaringa & I don't think any longer.
Brian, unfortunately we don't get to specify all details of a free camp. Only noise at the moment is the conveyors running but even shunting isn't a major deal for those of us used to sleeping through a little noise.
