Grey water disposal???

Does anyone know how to get hold of portable grey water tank??

was thinking one of those tanks that has wheels on it...put it under the grey water hose for those times you aren't allowed to let grey water trickle into the dry, thirsty ground!

What do others out there do when they don't have inboard grey water tanks and need to get rid of grey water when free camping?

Remember seeing these roll away tanks in NZ but haven't seen any in oz. Couldn't see any on eBay either.....

We use a 40 lt 'tote tank' designed for grey and black. Caravan yards have them but they charge accordingly.
However all you need is a plastic (possibly 20 lt) container with screw top lid. You may need 2 if you use a lot of water.
Try Bunnings etc.

Damned heavy to lift 40+ Kg of water, and you may still have to lift it into your vehicle.

I would suggest a few 10 litre containers, you can buy them for less than $8 each from a supermarket, and they come filled with good water..

2 x 10 litre are much easier to carry than 1 x 20 litre if you have to lug it a distance.

Crazy isn't it.

You have to hold grey water which is suitable to drain onto lawns etc. but you  are not allowed.

But,  put a few hundred cows, sheep, pigs on a road train and that's OK effluent everywhere, Including your windscreen and vehicle if they pass you, or you are going the other way.

Hi buffy61,

Another site you can try is " rv247caravanrvmarine". Go to the Toilets and Showers heading and click on sewer hose and fittings and you will find the Fiamma 40lt waste roll tank. Hope this helps.

Cheers,

David.biggrin
