Hello. I am ready to head out along the Golden Highway from Denman to Dunedoo in NSW, and am wondering if the road is mountainous or travels thru farming territory. Any feedback appreciated. KB

The Golden Hwy from the New England to Merriwa and Cassilis is undulating with a couple of hills that may need a gear change. From Cassilis to Dunedoo is bit more hilly but nothing to worry about. It is pretty much the same to Dubbo.

We are heading up that way in early may and from my research it is much less hilly than the Pacific Highway enjoy your trip
