Gatton-Clifton road

Hi,  Just wondering if anyone had been on the gatton-Clifton road recently, if so what is the condition. Have heard it's an easier drive to get to the New England hwy than going over the gap or up the toowoomba range, any feedback most welcome. Cheers whitey2.

I was up via the gap in early feb and it was not to bad..

Be-careful of some of the side roads as they are not the best, fairly rough..
- Not sure on the Gatton - Clifton road..

Ahh, thanks, wasn't sure if it was all good as was told ages ago about lots of road works etc, maybe the range is the way to go, as I'd like to call into nobby for a look. But had heard there was a bit to see on the gatton -Clifton road to better make up my mind heading out there this morning !
Thanks for the replies Juergen and Oldbobsbus .
Cheers whitey2

I travel Gatton -Clifton Road regularly towing my 'van, was there a couple of weeks ago. All the road works are finished and the road is good, very narrow in places but good. A good camp spot in the rest area.

A very good and scenic drive.
