Wonboyn Lake, and Bruce the Kangaroo.

I,m at the Wonboyn Lake Cvan park, sth of Eden,nsw,Photo328.jpg arrived yesterday to rain and thunderstorms.Went fishing and did well on Flathead to 1,5kgs, reasonable bream and other species. The vanpark is small, but the operaters are great.Bucky and his wife are from Rodesia, and are very helpful. The sites are a bit small but its only about 110m to the shop, who has an interesting local frequenting. Bruce , the grey kangaroo,is about 5ft tall and comes right into the shop to get fed, and is friendly enough to pat. he is 9 years old, the lady at the shop told me.The bird life is prolific, and its a lovely spot away from the maddening crowds.Have found a deep hole down by the mouth of the river , and will try again this arvo.Great Spot!

You do love your fishing, Bill, which is just as well since you're addicted. Very nice catch indeed! And I love Bruce... what a great opportunity for a couple of portraits!

No, got a nice flathead on a hard body, but most on prawns. Took a while to find them. Its blowing quite hard, but the incoming tide in the morning is good. Down by the mouth, in the deeper holes is the go.I now have a few kilo of fillets in the fridge, So if your in the area, give us a yell.Off to Marlo tmrow. Bill
