That the Beatles performed in Melbourne at Festival Hall.

My big brother (who I lost just before Christmas) took me to the front of the Southern Cross Hotel, where they came out onto the balcony. He was only supposed to go to the Flemington rd, Royal pde intersection.(top of the city) My mum god knows how, saw us on TV and was waiting when we got off the tram and he copped it. All I could was scream out We saw the Beatles over and over again on the walk home. JL

What a memory I still have of that day......I was 11yrs old

I watched their arrival at Sydney airport on telly live, and then the cameras moved to the Sheraton Hotel in Macleay St Potts Point where the Beatles would occasionally appear on the balcony to wave to the multitude below. Can you imagine any celebs getting that kinda media coverage today?

Hahahaha, I went to Festival hall to see them live, I even had one of those Rediculous Plastic cut out Mop Tops on my head, I was 15,
