one can fridge


just been looking at the GN front page http://thegreynomads.com.au/

and I see at the bottom a one can fridge, now i have not got one of these so of to eBay to search and here it is if anybody wants one

They'd have a Peltier effect module at the bottom, which is pretty crazy because heat rises ....not cold so to cool the peltier must be at the top so that it absorbs heat from the can and cools it.
Peltiers drag a lot of power and I cannot see how they will get much from a USB connection. Also the advert say they keep you cold drink cool, which they probably do but that is only if the drink is cool to start with.
Please note that this is my opinion only FWIW.
Thanks for posting the link - I've never seen these before although I've used Peltiers for cooling CPUs.
