It's very dry & desolate area with temperatures reaching up to 50oC in summer & the kangaroos make tracks up the sides of the hills to small caves where they shelter from the heat.
If your lucky and the sun is in the right angle the colours are spectacular.
Cheers,
John

When we were there in April 2011, amazingly, it was green! And there were even some wildflowers!

Dog Fence.jpg                                GD: - I've been twice and never been lucky enough to see it green.

Over the back of the Breakaways is the Dog Fence and its so bare that I don't know how wildlife survive out there.

Jenzarl: - Hi Jen, I use (Google) Picasa3 to make a collage.
When you make the collage it will be too large in Mega Bites to fit in "Sharing Photo's", so I call it up in paint brush and reduce the size to fit here.
I then cut and paste it into a new page and save it into a new file name.
This reduces it from Mega Bites to Kilo Bites which will meet the downloading size set by this site.
Hope this is of some help.
Cheers,
John
