BEST [Caravan Park] Spot for Grey Nomad's to Camp.. Psst Does Not need to be a CP.. Free is better.

Well the topic of the day is about the fact that a BIG$[4] CP got the award for Best CP for Grey Nomad's..

Well I want to Throw this out to ALL Grey Nomad's Here..

How about we Nominate our Favorite Spot's to Camp, It does not need to be A caravan Park it can be what ever you want as long as it is not Illegal to do so..

How about we all suggest out favorite spot's.

Go By..

State

Name of Location..

Wiki Camps/Camps Guide Location if you know it..

Description of all amenities.. in bullet form..

Any Restriction's..

-> Cost if there are any..

Powered/not-powered if so.

Shady or full Sun

Put in what ever you Like about the spot..

Mmm Best CP for Grey Nomads..

Well For Victorians ..

------ Victoria

-- Greens Lake,

I nominate Greens Lake..
> Plenty of fresh water..
> Good ambiance
> Great company
> Has a Toilet block so access to some fresh water..
> Not far from shops..
> Has a few surrounding Large Towns so plenty of shopping Options
> Plenty of entertainment on the weekends.

Has Both shady and Full sun spots its your choice of what you want..
- Not many restrictions
>> You can take your dogs, Just maintain control of them and make sure that you Pick up All Doggie messs..

OH Yeah forgot the Best Thing about Greens Lake ITs FREE [ NO COST ]

so there is my Victorian Nomination..

Are there other Spots that GNs Love.. I cant say from personal experience yet But from a Reading of this Forum.. There are far better spots for Grey nomads than compared to Caravan Parks..

J

Ok Let the fun begin..

Psst if you have more than 1 spot, post it up especially if they are different state's..

Innaminka campground
Long drop loo at campground
Flushing loos and showers (from memory coin operated) near shop
$5 honesty box
Shop, pub and motel now
Heaps of room - either shade or not.
Right on the banks of the Cooper Creek
No power
Just a beautiful place to be

I reckon most places in Australia would be great to see and would be a plus for anybody that is lucky enough to see them - obviously some would be better than others and we all have a favourite place.

Trouble is Patto that many of these awards are given to the CP's with the most "Bling", bells and whistles etc, with no regard to how much it costs the average traveller to stay there.   May be fine for those with the pockets to match, but not much use or appeal to those of us on a reality budget.no

Also this link for CP's only;

For the other tips mentioned on this thread, if not already on the two links above (ie; free or cp as appropriate) suggest post them there also to help others visiting those sections....

Yamba
Calypso Caravan Park

We have been to this park a few times. It's in a beautiful and perfect location right on a river and almost on the beach, village shopping centre next door with camping shop, mitre 10, cafés, food, Small Spar supermarket, clothes. Bowling club about 10 minutes walk away.

The amenities at the end we usually stay at are like little beach huts . . . About 8 with wc, shower and vanity and about 4 just wc, much more civilised than the usual amenity blocks.

We have just had two nights there for $30 per night Seniors rate powered site. $35 for non seniors
