Just a quick reminder to us all that not every one is on holidays with the "I am the only one one the road" attitude. New years day found a great many locals and tourists alike down enjoying Lake Bonney S.A., I noticed two MHs pull into the angle parking bays on the lake front, both beautiful units ( one very large maroon one). Problem was both parked parallel to the kirb taking about 12-15 parks between them. On the other side of the road were parallel parks . Never mind, they were not there long and after several beeps and toots got the message they moved on. About five minutes later, SHMBO, as me to go and pick up some forgotten lunch articles so off I went. Just up the road, still in the 50 zone, the first motor home pulled out from the side road in front of me, no worries, then bugger me dead, the big maroon one hurtles out of the same said side street and nearly T boned me. I had to jam on the brakes, my head lights are always on so he shoud have seen me. to rub salt in they both pulled in to a park not 50mts from the corner, and the driver gave me the finger. ( must be the stress of roaming)
Just a reminder that whilst in small towns and in busy areas that we really need to keep a good look out and be careful.
All the best for the new year out there in The Playground.
Maybe they were tourist from o/s. Got a lot of them in M/H's in Byron when we running the C/P. Couldn't speak english, couldn't read english and it was impossible for them to miss a tap or power outlet when reversing onto the site.
there are dic#@$%ds all over this land of ours and unfortunately they own the road (to them anyway) then they get agitated when you get into them , I say stuff em!Lucky my wifes mouth is bigger than mine.
