Margrethe II (Danish:[mket]; Margrethe Alexandrine Þórhildur Ingrid, born 16 April 1940) is Queen of Denmark. Having reigned for over 51 years, she is the world's only queen regnant, the longest-reigning current European monarch, and the longest-serving incumbent female head of state.
