Miriam Margolyes OBE (/mrliz/ MAR-g-leez; born 18 May 1941) is a British-Australian actress. She has gained prominence as a character actor on stage and screen. The only Filipino politician I can bring to mind is Ferdinand Marcos and he's long gone.
